Privacy Policy

New York LLC Publishing (NewYorkLLCPublishing.com) Operated by Metro Business Services Effective Date: August 15, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how New York LLC Publishing ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit NewYorkLLCPublishing.com (the "Site") or use our LLC publication and related filing services (the "Services"). By using the Site or Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you place an order or contact us, we collect information such as:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address

  • The name of your LLC and related business details

  • Payment information (collected and processed by our third-party payment processors — we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers)

  • Any information you share with us by email, phone, text, live chat, or order forms

Information we obtain from public records. To perform our Services, we retrieve information about your LLC directly from the New York State Department of State corporations database and other public records. This may include your LLC's name, formation date, county, registered agent, and address of record.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information when you visit the Site, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Services you purchase, including preparing and placing legal notices, appointing or changing your registered agent at your direction, obtaining affidavits, and filing your Certificate of Publication with New York State

  • Process payments and administer payment plans

  • Communicate with you about your order status, deliver your filing receipt, and respond to your questions

  • Provide optional ongoing registered agent services, if you choose to keep them

  • Improve our Site, Services, and customer experience

  • Send you service-related notices and, where permitted, information about related services we offer

  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse

3. How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to provide the Services and operate our business:

  • Newspapers. Your LLC's legally required notice information is provided to the newspapers in which your legal notices are published. Note that legal notices are, by their nature, published publicly.

  • Government agencies. We file documents containing your LLC's information with the New York State Department of State and pay associated fees on your behalf. State filings are public records.

  • Payment processors. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, whose handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policies and security standards.

  • Service providers. We use third-party vendors for website hosting, checkout, email, live chat, and analytics. These providers may process your information on our behalf and are limited to using it for the services they provide to us.

  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.

  • Business transfers. If our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Registered Agent Services

If we serve as your registered agent, we may receive service of process or official correspondence directed to your LLC. We forward such items to you promptly at the contact information you have provided. It is your responsibility to keep your contact information with us current.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to make the Site function properly, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We may use services such as Google Analytics and Google Ads, which set their own cookies to help us understand how visitors find and use our Site and to show relevant ads.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of personalized advertising through the Google Ads Settings page and the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info.

Our Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

6. Data Retention

We retain order records, filing documents, and related correspondence for as long as needed to provide the Services, satisfy legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain accurate business records. Because our work involves state filings, we may retain copies of filed documents and filing receipts indefinitely as part of your order history.

7. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including SSL encryption on our Site and secure third-party payment processing. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and correction. You may contact us to review or correct the personal information we hold about you.

  • Marketing communications. You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails or contacting us directly. We will still send transactional messages about your order.

  • Deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to our need to retain records required for legal, tax, or filing purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Site and Services are intended for business owners and professionals, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, including checkout pages, payment providers, and government resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
